Science | Art | Art | Science Project

Group exhibition of collaboration between scientists and artists

Mhairi Pattenden

Peter Machen

The exhibition showcases the outcome of the dialogues in the various media. The project is conceived to illustrate ways of integrating art and science. We perceive this exhibition as merely a first step in an ongoing process of dialogue and cooperation. Physicists, mathematicians and other scientists from UKZN partnered with a variety of artists, each with their own strengths and interests, ranging from the written word to ceramics, painting, drawing and sculpture.
